The main departmental functions of the Sun Gate Company are the production, sales, and marketing, finance and accounting, and inventory management. It seems that the company needs the effective information management software or tool that integrates all the functions of the business effectively so that the management of the company can take the effective decisions and generates huge profits in the future. The company has the large production units and large staff so that it comes under the medium and large scale industries of the Victoria. Due to its large production capacity, the team of consultants advised the company department to use Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Software, which mitigates the manual problems of accounting and errors in daily basis which helps in the company to take an effective decision in the future. ERP is generally an automated s oftware that manages the internal and external resources of the company such as production department, financial assets, inventory management and human resources of the company. Currently, company has faced the number of challenges regarding the weak information systems in the company it creates the errors in the financial data and creates more work for the clerical staff and other departments which increase the cost and time of the company. It integrates all the business functions automated and linked with production, procurement, finance, and marketing departments. The system matches the demand and supply constraints with the respective functional departments. It combines the financial and accounting information for day to day activities. It delivers products on time with high quality It reduces the order process time and delivers the orders quickly according to the needs of the company locally and internationally (Saeed, et al., 2011). Apart from the benefits, there are certain challenges to implementing the system in the company like the maintenance and customization of the software is pretty expensive. Sometimes it is difficult for the company to adapt the ERP to the workflow and structure of the business. Once it is implemented after that the company cannot change the system due to high switching cost. Selection of the Software As per the nature and analysis of the companys operations and benefits of the ERP/AIS, it finds that the company is required the effective information system which helps in to save the efforts and time of the company. There are many versions of the software available in the market according to the nature of the production companies. Sungate Foods company is the medium sized company and it is important for management to choose the best-customized software that addresses the issues of the company.ERP software is appropriate for the company as compare to AIS.AIS is suitable for small companies where the production level of the company is less. AIS is especially for the shops, hotels, and offices where the volume of the work is not too high and the staff of the company is limited. AIS software is limited to the accounts and payroll department and it only monitors the other activities but ERP is designed for management of resources in the company including financial management, CRM, suppl y chain management and inventory management that is also useful for the accounting department. Finally, it is identified by the team of the consultants the ERP software is appropriate for the company after comparing with AIS. Finalization of the Vendor and Software As per the above comparisons of the softwares and vendors it is identified that both softwares address the requirements of the company but Adaxa Suit softwares has more features and it is available under the companys budget. and there are a lot of technical functions which is flexible as compared to Syspros. So after the detailed analysis of functionality of the both the softwares it has been identified that the Adaxa suit is appropriate ERP package that serves the needs of the company. From this software company can effectively perform their operations and mitigates the problem. Conclusion As per the above-given case studies, it is concluded that the AIS and ERP plays an important role in the operations of the both the companies. It is also found that the AIS is beneficial for the small and medium organizations and ERP is appropriate for Medium and large organizations. Moreover, it seems that the both organizations have chosen the different accounting softwares packages according to the needs and functionality of the companys operations. These systems provide the facility of flexibility in updating of its resources that address the problems of the company more effectively.
